Hope for the Future

So I was at work the other day. A woman is pushing cart containing her sons through the toy aisle and wanders into the Batman: The Brave and the Bold aisle, where I happen to be tidying up.

Her boys are looking at the LEGOs opposite Batman toys when their mother pulls one down. "Look," she says. "It's Aquaman."

They boys' heads whip around and the youngest begins chanting, "I want Aquaman! I want Aquaman! I want Aquaman!"



I fight back tears.
